Hi. I'm Allie Pape, a writer and editor in San Francisco.

I'm currently the managing editor at Hoodline, a hyperlocal news site covering San Francisco and Oakland. Prior to that, I was the editor-in-chief of Eater's San Francisco bureau.

I'm also a contributor to the San Francisco Chronicle, and to Vulture, New York magazine's culture site, where I write cultural criticism, mostly about television.

My writing has appeared in Sunset magazine, 7x7SFistOakland magazinePaper, San Francisco Cottages & Gardens, Where magazineThe Hairpin, DailyCandy, The Bold ItalicCitysearch, and Scoutmob SF

I provide a range of writing and editing services to companies on a freelance basis. My clients have included thredUPBox, Zendesk, Lithium TechnologiesAsk.com, Equilar, and more. Whether it's writing intuitive press releases and site copy, crafting compelling e-mails and blog posts, or editing existing content to make it shine, I can provide fast, reliable service.

I received my B.A. from Harvard University, where I studied Comparative Literature. I'm also a Certified Cicerone, the beer equivalent of a sommelier.

Take a look around to see what I've done, and contact me if you're interested in learning more about working together.
