Hi. I'm Allie Pape, a San Francisco-based writer and editor.
I'm currently the senior editor at Hoodline, a hyperlocal, neighborhood-centric news site covering San Francisco and Oakland. Prior to that, I ran the San Francisco branch of Eater, the city's leading source for restaurant and bar news. I'm also a TV recapper at Vulture, where I cover shows like Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and Great News.
As a freelancer, I provide a range of writing and editing services to companies. My clients have included thredUP, Box, Zendesk, Lithium Technologies, Ask.com, Equilar, and more. Whether it's writing intuitive press releases and site copy, creating compelling e-mails and blog posts, or editing existing content to make it shine, I can provide fast, reliable service.
As a journalist, I've covered food, beer, spirits and cocktails, entertainment, books and authors, and local events. I've written for Sunset magazine, 7x7, SFist, Oakland magazine, Paper, San Francisco Cottages & Gardens, Where magazine, The Hairpin, DailyCandy, The Bold Italic, Citysearch, and Scoutmob SF.
Take a look around to see what I've done, and contact me if you're interested in learning more about working together.
